LibertyAssay

From Composition to Compensation — Verified.

Liberty Assay is an open-source, modular precious-metal assay and payout platform designed to bring transparency and automation to the process of valuing and converting jewelry into real-time market compensation. Instead of relying on subjective appraisal or opaque buyback pricing, the system uses a combination of spectroscopy, AI vision, and precision robotics to determine exact material composition and calculate value based on live commodity markets. Every stage of the process is designed to be inspectable, reproducible, and verifiable.

At its core, Liberty Assay integrates industrial-grade sensing and analysis technologies. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy determines elemental composition without destructive testing, while AI-driven vision systems identify gemstones, structural settings, and potential fraud patterns. A robotic disassembly module then safely separates stones and non-metal components before the remaining material is refined through a controlled induction melting system. This produces a verified metal sample that can be re-tested for final purity confirmation.

The system is built around a modular, event-driven architecture. Each subsystem—vision, spectroscopy, robotics, melting, pricing, and payment—operates independently and communicates through a structured event bus. This allows each component to be swapped, upgraded, or audited without affecting the integrity of the overall workflow. A centralized orchestration layer ensures safety, sequencing, and traceability across all operations, while an append-only audit ledger records every step of the process.

Liberty Assay also includes a real-time pricing engine that aggregates multiple commodity data sources to calculate fair market value based on verified purity and weight. Payments are then issued instantly through configurable settlement rails, including traditional banking systems or digital asset networks. Built under the AGPL-3.0+ license, the project ensures that all deployments remain open and transparent, requiring attribution and source availability for any networked or modified version.
