The open mission operations stack for aerospace innovation.
AstraForge is an open-source mission operations stack designed to provide the foundational infrastructure needed for modern aerospace innovation. It brings together mission planning, spacecraft operations, telemetry intelligence, simulation, communications, and data management into a unified platform for rockets, satellites, space stations, and exploration systems. Built under the AGPL-3.0+ license, AstraForge promotes transparent collaboration and community-driven advancement of space technology.
At the core of AstraForge is a complete mission operations environment that enables teams to plan, monitor, and manage complex aerospace missions. The platform includes a Mission Planning & Operations system for designing mission workflows, scheduling activities, managing resources, and coordinating flight operations. The Telemetry Intelligence Engine provides real-time processing, visualization, anomaly detection, and analysis of spacecraft and launch vehicle data, allowing operators to understand system performance throughout every stage of a mission.
AstraForge also includes a Digital Twin Engine that creates virtual models of rockets, spacecraft, satellites, and mission infrastructure. These digital replicas enable simulation, mission rehearsal, hardware-in-the-loop testing, failure analysis, and operational training before real-world deployment. Combined with the Ground Station Network, AstraForge provides distributed communications capabilities for telemetry relay, command operations, antenna scheduling, and global mission support.
Beyond traditional mission control, AstraForge expands into a complete aerospace operations ecosystem. Spacecraft Resource Management provides monitoring and optimization of power, thermal systems, propulsion, storage, and onboard resources. Earth Observation Operations supports imaging missions, scientific data collection, and observation planning. The Hardware Abstraction Layer enables integration with diverse aerospace hardware, while the Mission Reliability Engineering module provides tools for risk analysis, fault tracking, and mission assurance.
AstraForge is designed for the future of space exploration, supporting human spaceflight operations, orbital traffic management, mission data interoperability, and AI-assisted mission intelligence. By providing open interfaces, modular architecture, and extensible developer tools, AstraForge enables researchers, universities, startups, and aerospace organizations to build, operate, and collaborate on the next generation of space systems.
