BeautifAI is an open-source, AI-driven beauty platform designed to help users explore, understand, and enhance their personal style through intelligent technology. It brings together computer vision, machine learning, and practical beauty education to create a unified experience where users can discover makeup and hairstyle options tailored specifically to their unique features. Built under the AGPL 3.0+ license, BeautifAI is designed to remain transparent, extensible, and community-driven.

At its core, BeautifAI uses AI-powered skin tone and facial analysis to recommend makeup products that best match an individual’s complexion and undertones. Users can upload photos or use their camera to receive real-time suggestions for foundation, lipstick, blush, and other cosmetics. The platform also includes a virtual try-on system, allowing users to preview full makeup looks before making any purchases, reducing guesswork and improving confidence in product selection.

Beyond makeup, BeautifAI extends into hairstyle simulation and hair color experimentation. Users can visualize different cuts, lengths, textures, and colors directly on their own image, supported by face-shape detection for more accurate recommendations. This combined makeup and hairstyle system allows users to preview complete looks, helping them make cohesive style decisions.

BeautifAI also integrates educational and shopping intelligence features. It provides step-by-step tutorials for makeup and hairstyling, making it useful for beginners and advanced users alike. On the shopping side, it compares product prices across online and local retailers while also analyzing ingredient safety, highlighting cruelty-free, vegan, and non-toxic options. This ensures users are not only choosing products that look good but also align with their health and ethical preferences.

This specification is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later (AGPL-3.0+) and may be used freely with required attribution under Section 7. A Specification Branding License is available for attribution-free deployments, with fees based on usage, scope, and deployment size.
