Make art in motion.
HandsOn Studio is a gesture-driven creative system that turns hand movement into a fully interactive environment for drawing, design, learning, and spatial media creation. It is built around the idea that motion itself can function as a primary interface, replacing traditional input devices with real-time hand tracking and gesture interpretation. This allows users to create directly in space, shaping visual output through natural movement rather than static tools or menus.
At the core of the system is a modular architecture that separates creation into interchangeable components. Tools such as Brush, Pen, Pencil, Splash, and Art define different creative behaviors, each transforming the same gestures into distinct visual styles and physical effects. These tools operate within a shared world system, where strokes and objects exist as structured data with spatial and attribute-based properties. This makes it possible to extend the platform with new creative instruments without changing the underlying engine.
HandsOn Studio also introduces an attribute-based rendering system that goes beyond traditional color models. A multi-dimensional W-axis controls properties such as intensity, emission, and material response, allowing visual elements to behave like dynamic fields rather than static pixels. This system supports 2D drawing, 3D spatial creation, and an advanced attribute mode where visuals evolve based on motion, gesture energy, and tool context.
Beyond creation, the platform integrates an education module designed for interactive learning through doing. Users can follow structured lessons that teach drawing fundamentals, spatial reasoning, and gesture control, with real-time feedback based on accuracy and motion quality. This transforms the system into both a creative studio and a skill-building environment, where learning is embedded directly into the act of creation.
HandsOn Studio also includes a recording studio module for cinematic presentation and a greenscreen compositing system that allows users to be placed into fully virtual environments. Together, these features enable users not only to create art but to stage, record, and present it in controlled spatial scenes. The result is a unified system that merges creation, education, and performance into a single gesture-driven platform.
