Idea2Reality is an open-source industrial intelligence system designed to turn abstract ideas into fully executable real-world production plans. It bridges the gap between imagination and manufacturing by translating user concepts into structured hardware and software designs, then optimizing how and where those systems can be built. The platform is built around a modular AGPL-3.0+ architecture where each subsystem handles a different layer of reality, from design and simulation to logistics, labor, and geographic optimization.

At its core, Idea2Reality uses an AI-driven design assistant to decompose ideas into manufacturable components and deployable software architectures. This includes generating bills of materials, defining system architectures, mapping hardware-software interactions, and ensuring all components align with real-world manufacturing constraints. These outputs are then passed into a multi-layer optimization engine that evaluates cost, feasibility, supply chain routes, vendor reliability, and regional living conditions to determine the most efficient path to production.

The system extends beyond design and manufacturing into real-world execution intelligence. It models supply chain logistics, factory capabilities, workforce availability, and even regional education pipelines to address skill shortages through apprenticeship and training pathways. A searchable industrial memory layer continuously learns from past designs and outcomes, improving recommendations over time based on real-world feedback and performance data.

Finally, Idea2Reality includes advanced visualization and explanation systems that make complex industrial designs understandable and transparent. A 3D visualization layer renders hardware structures and software flows in an interactive environment, while a decision explanation engine breaks down every recommendation into human-readable reasoning. Together, these features create a self-improving industrial operating system that connects ideas directly to production, labor, and real-world deployment.

This specification is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later (AGPL-3.0+) and may be used freely with required attribution under Section 7. A Specification Branding License is available for attribution-free deployments, with fees based on usage, scope, and deployment size.
