IntentMesh is a governance and infrastructure layer that sits between software code and the purpose that code is meant to serve. Instead of treating repositories, licenses, and deployments as isolated technical artifacts, IntentMesh connects them through a structured intent system that defines why software exists, how it can be used, and under what conditions it can be monetized or extended. It introduces a unified framework where licensing, compliance, and execution are all interpreted through declared purpose rather than disconnected rules.

At its core, IntentMesh integrates multiple governance systems into a single layered architecture. The Specification Branding License (SBL) provides composable, machine-readable licensing structures. The Human Intent Governance Standard (HIGS) defines and enforces the intended purpose of software across forks and deployments. The Open Source Integrity & Conflict Detection Module (OSICD) ensures that licensing constraints such as copyleft and “must remain open source” requirements are strictly preserved and not violated through packaging or commercialization. Together, these systems create a multi-dimensional enforcement model that governs both legal compliance and intent alignment.

IntentMesh also introduces economic and operational layers through GitPatrol and the listing system. GitPatrol ensures that monetization opportunities are routed to the original canonical creator of a specification, preserving origin integrity across forks and derivative systems. The listing system allows software assets to be categorized as specifications, modules, full software packages, or hybrid systems, each with different governance and monetization behaviors. This enables a flexible but controlled marketplace where value can be exchanged without breaking licensing or intent rules.

To support real-world usability, IntentMesh includes the Conflict Resolution & Monetization Pathfinding AI (CRMP-AI), which assists developers in identifying compliant monetization strategies when direct commercialization is restricted. Instead of blocking action outright, it proposes alternative pathways such as local hosting, service-based models, or enterprise deployment strategies that remain within legal and governance constraints. A Transparency & Audit Public Ledger ensures that all decisions, licensing actions, and enforcement events are recorded in an immutable and verifiable system for accountability and traceability.

This specification is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later (AGPL-3.0+) and may be used freely with required attribution under Section 7. A Specification Branding License is available for attribution-free deployments, with fees based on usage, scope, and deployment size.
