OpenSignal

Connect Securely. Build Confidently.

OpenSignal is an open-source, cross-platform communication and collaboration platform designed with privacy, security, and developer-grade control at its core. It focuses on enabling real-time interaction between users while maintaining strict end-to-end encryption, ensuring that all messages, shared files, and collaborative project data remain private from servers and intermediaries. Built for individuals, teams, and distributed communities, OpenSignal aims to provide a secure foundation for modern digital collaboration without sacrificing usability or performance.

At its core, OpenSignal supports real-time encrypted messaging and collaborative workspaces where multiple users can interact simultaneously. Every session is protected using client-side encryption, meaning data is encrypted before it ever leaves the user’s device. Even servers used for relaying or synchronization cannot access the plaintext content. This zero-knowledge design makes it suitable for sensitive development work, private team communication, and secure project coordination.

OpenSignal also introduces a structured collaboration system built around secure session-based connections. Users can join shared workspaces where changes are synchronized in real time using conflict-free data structures, ensuring smooth collaboration even when multiple participants are editing simultaneously. Optional encrypted version tracking allows teams to maintain secure histories of shared projects without exposing sensitive information.

Beyond communication and collaboration, OpenSignal is designed to be extensible and adaptable. Its plugin architecture allows developers to build custom integrations, tools, and workflow enhancements while preserving the security model of the platform. With cross-platform support and a focus on performance, OpenSignal aims to be a flexible foundation for secure communication systems, collaborative development environments, and privacy-first digital ecosystems.
