OrePulse

Where Geology Meets Technology

OrePulse is an open-source geospatial intelligence platform designed to map, analyze, and connect mineral resources across the United States, with a focus on magnetite, iron sands, and rare earth elements. It brings together geological data, LIDAR terrain mapping, and public mining records to create a unified view of where economically significant mineral deposits exist and how they are distributed across states and regions. The project is built to support transparency, research, and public understanding of critical mineral supply chains.

At its core, OrePulse integrates advanced geospatial processing with structured datasets from sources such as USGS surveys, mining claims, and environmental overlays. Users can explore interactive maps showing mineral deposits, magnetic anomalies, and historical mining activity, along with layers that highlight environmental constraints like protected lands and water systems. The platform also supports 3D visualization of geological formations, helping users better understand subsurface and terrain relationships.

Beyond geology, OrePulse includes a comprehensive corporate intelligence layer that maps mining companies, subsidiaries, executives, board members, and financial relationships. This allows users to explore how mineral extraction sites connect to corporate structures and ownership networks. It also enables tracking of production activity, regulatory status, and supply chain pathways from extraction to processing and end use.

OrePulse is designed as a living system, combining predictive analytics and data pipelines that can evolve over time. Future capabilities include AI-assisted mineral discovery modeling, real-time environmental and operational monitoring, and expanded network analysis of corporate and resource flows. The result is a transparent, extensible platform that connects the physical science of geology with the organizational structures that shape global mineral extraction.
