Vetora

Early Insight for Better Outcomes.

Vetora is an open-source AI veterinary health intelligence platform designed to help pet owners organize, understand, and monitor their animals’ health information. It provides a centralized veterinary record keeper for medical histories, diagnoses, laboratory results, imaging, vaccinations, medications, procedures, allergies, adverse reactions, symptoms, and veterinary visits. By bringing information from across an animal’s health history into one structured record, Vetora creates a longitudinal view that can help identify changes, recurring patterns, and important information that might otherwise be overlooked.

Vetora includes an AI veterinary assistant that helps users explore possible causes of symptoms and health changes without presenting itself as a replacement for a veterinarian. Its differential reasoning system can evaluate reported symptoms alongside the animal’s age, species, history, medications, previous conditions, and other available information to identify possible explanations and relevant questions to discuss with a veterinary professional. A built-in risk scoring system evaluates symptoms and combinations of symptoms, explains the factors contributing to the score, identifies potential red flags, and can alert users when the available information suggests that veterinary attention may be needed promptly or immediately.

Vetora also provides medication intelligence designed to help users make more informed decisions about veterinary medications. Users can search for brand-name medications, compare available prices, identify approved generic equivalents when they exist, and explore potentially less expensive alternatives. Its medication side-effect comparison system evaluates reported adverse effects, their frequency and severity, evidence quality, contraindications, interactions, and animal-specific risk factors. Rather than automatically selecting a medication based only on price or the number of reported side effects, Vetora prioritizes the safest medically appropriate option using a safety-adjusted assessment while clearly distinguishing generic equivalents, therapeutic alternatives, and other non-equivalent options.

Vetora is designed as a modular system that can expand with additional veterinary and animal-health capabilities. Optional integrations can connect Vetora with veterinary clinics, electronic medical records, pharmacies, retailers, laboratories, imaging systems, wearable devices, smart collars, pet insurance services, and other animal-health platforms. Privacy, data portability, transparent reasoning, evidence tracking, human oversight, and auditability are foundational principles, allowing users to maintain control of their animal’s health information while giving veterinarians a clearer and more complete picture of the animal’s history. Vetora brings records, symptoms, risk assessment, medication intelligence, and veterinary decision support together in one extensible platform built around early insight and better outcomes.
