Entity resolution across time, not just space.
KnowledgeContinuum is a temporal entity resolution system designed to model knowledge as something that evolves continuously rather than existing as fixed snapshots. Instead of overwriting or collapsing data into a single “current truth,” it preserves every state of information over time, allowing systems to reconstruct how identity, relationships, and understanding changed across different moments. This makes it possible to answer not only what is true now, but what was believed to be true at any point in history.
At its core, KnowledgeContinuum introduces a versioned entity graph where every entity exists as a sequence of time-aware states. Each update produces a new version rather than replacing the previous one, creating a complete lineage of identity evolution. Entities can branch, merge, and split, allowing the system to represent uncertainty and competing interpretations of identity instead of forcing premature resolution. This supports more realistic modeling of complex, messy real-world data where contradictions and ambiguity are common.
The system also includes a multi-source entity resolution engine that combines deterministic joins, fuzzy matching, probabilistic scoring, and graph-based clustering. Every match is fully explainable, with traceable confidence breakdowns and source-level provenance. Instead of hiding complexity behind opaque models, KnowledgeContinuum exposes how and why identities are connected, making every decision auditable and reproducible.
Beyond resolution, KnowledgeContinuum supports full temporal querying, enabling users to inspect the state of the entire graph at any point in time or compare how entities changed between two timestamps. Its pipeline architecture ensures all transformations are versioned and traceable, while its storage model preserves raw data, intermediate transformations, and final resolved entities as separate but linked layers. Together, these features create a system designed for transparency, historical reconstruction, and continuous evolution of knowledge.
