The RepoHub Specification (RHS) is an AGPL-3.0+ licensed, modular, vendor-neutral standard for creating AI-assisted repository hubs that aggregate publicly available information from repository hosts, websites, documentation sources, and related services into a centralized, searchable directory. The specification defines interoperable modules for repository discovery, categorization, provenance tracking, licensing intelligence, documentation indexing, analytics, funding information, security metadata, knowledge graph generation, timeline preservation, and repository quality assessment, enabling individuals and organizations to build comprehensive, machine-readable representations of open-source ecosystems while maintaining human oversight, preserving attribution, and avoiding vendor lock-in.

This specification is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later (AGPL-3.0+) and may be used freely with required attribution under Section 7. A Specification Branding License is available for attribution-free deployments, with fees based on usage, scope, and deployment size.
