Listen to Humanity. Discover What Is Possible.
SharedMind is an open collective intelligence system designed to listen to humanity and discover what is possible. It gathers signals from public conversations, news, research, public data, community knowledge, and other permitted sources to identify problems people are experiencing and understand what is being said about them. Rather than treating individual comments or sentiment as isolated data points, SharedMind connects recurring experiences, ideas, concerns, questions, and proposed solutions to build a deeper understanding of the problems that matter.
SharedMind uses a multi-agent task force to investigate each problem from multiple perspectives. Specialized agents can examine potential causes, affected populations, existing solutions, historical examples, scientific knowledge, economic factors, environmental considerations, infrastructure, risks, and other relevant dimensions. Agents can challenge one another, identify contradictions, uncover missing information, and contribute evidence and reasoning to a shared problem model. This creates a distributed analytical process in which no single agent is expected to understand the entire problem.
The system searches the collective knowledge available to it for solutions that already exist, solutions that have been attempted, and ideas that may be adapted or combined. When an existing answer cannot be found, SharedMind explores the possibility space by generating new approaches, combining compatible ideas, identifying paths that require further research, and examining how one solution might address multiple problems at once. Each possibility can be evaluated through benefits, risks, dependencies, assumptions, evidence, potential unintended consequences, and the people or communities that could be affected.
SharedMind ultimately produces a Possibility Map rather than a single prescribed answer. The system presents the problem, supporting evidence, contributing factors, existing approaches, newly generated possibilities, potential benefits, risks, uncertainties, and unanswered questions so people can understand the landscape before deciding what to pursue. Human judgment remains central to the process. SharedMind does not decide what humanity should do. It uses collective knowledge and multi-agent intelligence to expand what humans can see, understand, question, and consider.
