BuildOracle is an open-source urban planning intelligence platform designed to help cities, zoning boards, and developers evaluate the full impact of proposed construction projects before approval. It combines AI reasoning, environmental science, GIS mapping, and regulatory analysis into a single system that transforms complex planning workflows into structured, transparent, and data-driven decision support.

At its core, BuildOracle analyzes zoning codes, building regulations, and jurisdiction-specific rules, converting dense legal language into machine-readable constraints. It then evaluates project submissions—such as CAD, BIM, and site plans—extracting key structural and spatial details like height, density, setbacks, parking, and land coverage. These outputs are continuously checked against applicable regulations to identify violations, risks, and compliance gaps.

Beyond zoning compliance, BuildOracle integrates advanced environmental simulation modules that model stormwater runoff, flood risk, heat island effects, soil stability, air quality, and ecological disruption. These simulations allow planners to understand how a development will affect its surrounding environment both immediately and over time. If a project is determined to be high-risk or environmentally detrimental, the system generates mitigation strategies, prioritizing sustainable design alternatives and green infrastructure solutions.

The platform also evaluates infrastructure and economic impacts, estimating effects on water systems, sewer capacity, electrical grids, traffic flow, school enrollment, and emergency services. In parallel, it provides financial projections including construction cost estimates, tax revenue impact, and long-term municipal return on investment.

Finally, BuildOracle produces comprehensive, decision-ready reports that consolidate zoning compliance, environmental impact, infrastructure stress, and economic feasibility into a single structured output. This enables zoning officers to make faster, more consistent, and more transparent decisions while encouraging developers to design more sustainable and compliant projects from the outset.
