ImageWorks is a modular, self-hosted, open-source visual asset management and production platform built for creative teams and production workflows. Designed to manage the complete lifecycle of visual assets, ImageWorks provides a unified environment where users can ingest, organize, process, analyze, collaborate on, and export images for commercial use. Its flexible architecture allows organizations to enable only the modules they need while extending functionality through plugins and integrations.

At its core, ImageWorks combines powerful asset management tools with production-focused image processing capabilities. The platform includes asset ingestion and asset library modules for organizing files, prompt storage for tracking AI-generated content, and image processing tools such as background removal, cleanup, upscaling, vectorization, color management, and export automation. These tools help transform raw images into production-ready assets suitable for print, digital publishing, marketing, and e-commerce applications.

ImageWorks also includes advanced quality assurance and analysis features designed to support commercial production environments. The Image Analysis Module evaluates resolution, transparency, edge quality, and print readiness, while the Ink Coverage Analysis Module helps identify potential printing issues related to CMYK ink limits and color profiles. Combined with configurable validation rules and automated quality checks, these tools help ensure that exported assets meet production standards before delivery.

For teams and organizations, ImageWorks provides collaboration and workflow automation capabilities that streamline creative operations.
